Lisa Solar "Dance from within, inspire me from your heart" is her motive in dance.

Solar began dancing in The Tahitians, a touring entertainment musical and dance company created and produced by her parents in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Her roots come from the fusion of Polynesian dance, culture and surf rock music.

In 2003, she decided to pursue her passion, and applied to UCLA's department of World Arts and Cultures. Solar is not only a recent UCLA graduate in dance but also a remarkable young eclectic dancer and choreographer. Plaza de la Raza is home to her teaching and growth as an educator and artist.
